September 19- Our exciting holiday will begin by crossing Calais’s International Border to our night’s accommodations in Portsmouth, NH Best Western Plus (603-436-7600).
September 20- Today’s journey will continue on to Plymouth, Mass. An exciting day awaits us as we partake in the 400th anniversary of Mayflower 1620 landing of the Pilgrims. One ship that links four nations, spans 400 years of history and connects millions of people.
We will learn about the pioneering voyage as we step on the Mayflower! To hear stories of the passengers and the remarkable voyage before being treated to a 17th century Pilgrim Meal at Plimouth Plantation a replica of the original settlement established by the English colonists who became known as the pilgrims. Following a most fascinating day we will travel to our home for the next four night’s Hyannis Motor Inn (508-775-2166) – ideally located on Hyannis’s Main St. 17
September 21- An exciting day has been arranged for you to sail to famous Martha’s Vineyard Island. – capturing breathtaking scenery, exploring beautiful beaches, lighthouses, impressive sea captain homes and the renowned Ginger Bread House.
September 22- Today we will welcome our step-on-guide for a day touring Cape Cod – making numerous stops of interest , Kennedy Memorial, Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor’s Center, Provincetown where we are surrounded by land and sea. A Perfect day!
September 23- Another exciting cruise has been arranged for you to the charmimg island of Nantucket. A narrated bus tour will assist us to capture natural beauty and witness the lifestyle of the rich & famous!
September 24 – With mixed feelings we will bid farewell to beautiful Cape Cod and travel to Duxbury, Mass to pilgrims John & Priscilla Alden home built in 1630….one of America’s founding families. Before departing historical Duxbury we will have a photo opportunity of a 116 foot granite shaft crowned by a 14 foot statue of Captain Myles Standish, a pilgrim and military leader of Plymouth colony located high atop Captain Hill. Continuing on to Boston, Mass for a lunch at the ever so popular Quincy Market before welcoming our stepon-guide for a most interesting city tour of Boston. September 25- Returning to our homes with wonderful memories of lives of pilgrims and beautiful Cape Cod!
