AUGUST 29 – SEPTEMBER 15

August 29- Departing our homes with great excitement we will begin by traveling to North Sydney to catch the night crossing to Port aux Basque. I have cabins reserved for all guest. Cabins expenses included in package.

August 30-Upon arriving to this great Province and following breakfast we will begin our adventure and travel across this huge vast picturesque province to spent our first night in Gander’s Sinbad Hotel 709-651-2678

August 31-Following our delicious breakfast we will travel towards “Bruin Peninsula”. The Burin Peninsula is surrounded by panoramic maritime barrens and huge glacial erratic boulders dropped by glaciers 10,000 years ago. Before arriving to our home for the next three nights in Marystown. We will make an interesting stop in Swift Current to visit Vernon’s Antique Car Museum. An amazing collection of some of the rarest antique cars in North America. Marystown Hotel and Convention Centre 709-279-1600– A Newfoundland musical evening has been arranged for you!

September 1- We are scheduled to sail to St.Pierre & Miquelon today providing Covid restrictions allows us to cross international borders- In the event unable to do so an alternative option will be offered at same dollar value.

September 2- We will begin our day by traveling to nearby picture perfect Burin. We will welcome our delightful step on guide to enlightened us on the history and hardships of this rugged outport which was built along a series of high cliffs and sheltered coves. We will continue on to visit the historic Sea Village St. Lawrence for our Newfoundland Specialty lunch and a visit St. Lawrence Museum to learn of devastation history and the once mined fluorspar mineral. Following our most heart-warming visit we will continue to explore the Burin Peninsula often referred to as the Boot.

September 3- We will bid farewell to Historic Burin Peninsula for Historic Seaport Capital St. John’s! Our home for the next 3 Night’s at the impressive Delta Hotel ideally located in downtown St. John’s 709-739-6404. We will begin to get acquainted to this Historical city by strolling along Water Street and popular St. George Street, where there are numerous restaurants to enjoy your noon hour lunch. A visit to the impressive Geological interpretation Centre “Johnson’s Geo Centre” and climbing the Signal hill to visit Cabot’s Tower will give us a beautiful introduction to historical St. John’s before settling into our elegant hotel. This evening we will become honorary Newfoundlanders at our most enjoyable Screech In ceremony.

September 4-This morning we will begin an enjoyable and informative St. John’s city tour including Quidi Vidi Fishing Village! Another highlight to your day is to travel a short distance to Bay Bulls for our Whale Watching & Puffin Excursion . A visit to Canada’s most eastern point “Cape Spear” is a must see before returning to our hotel.

September 5- This morning we will welcome our step-on-guide and enjoy touring throughout Conception Bay South. A perfect morning to witness lifestyles and pure beauty following lunch visiting Jelly Bean Row, Terry Fox Monument, Mile One Stadium, visiting Basilica Cathedral of St. John the Baptist are all St. John’s must see.

September 6-Departing Ancient St.John’s we will journey to Historical Bonavista Peninsula- John Cabot discovered in 1497. Following a delightful lunch at the 300 year old Dock Marina, a restored historic fishing premise located in the charming village of Trinity. We will continue along the Trinity Loop to Elliston the “Root Cellar” capital of the world, photo opportunities of the Dungeon Park before visiting Historic Bonavista Lighthouse. Tonight’s accommodations at Clarenville’s Quality Inn- 709-466-1717

September 7- Another exciting day has been arranged for you, as we travel along incredible rugged coastal shores to picturesque outport Twillingate. A delightful lunch will be enjoyed at the very popular Auk Island Winery before visiting Durrell Oceanside Museum featuring Polar Bear and Auk exhibits. We will learn Twillingate seafaring history; it’s role in world wars; and a definite photographers paradise. Tonight’s accommodations at Grand Falls Mount Peyton Hotel 709-489-2251

September 8- Travelling across this great province witnessing vast acres of forest, numerous lakes and rivers – towards one of the world’s UNESCO heritage sites Gros Morne National Park – You will be amazed at spectacular scenery, coastal lowlands, alpine plateau, fjords, glacial valleys, sheer cliffs, waterfalls and many pristine lakes. We will make a numerous photo opportunities as we travel to our night’s accommodations  in Port aux Choix Sea Echo Hotel (709-861-3777) .An Newfoundland musical entertainment will be arranged for you to tap your toes!

September 9- Following a hearty breakfast we will travel to nearby Historic Port Aux Choix Historic Site where  you will find the crossroads of 6000 years of human history – A delightful lunch will be enjoyed at the charming Sea Echo Hotel  before travelling to St. Anthony for our next two night’s Hotel North (709-454-3300). Upon arrival in this beautiful northern town we will visit Dr.Wilfred Grenfell Mission – where we will witness some of the earliest permanent medical services in Labrador and Newfoundland. Another musical evening will be arranged for you tonight.

September 10- A relaxing morning has been arranged for you – perhaps go shopping at the nearby mall. This afternoon we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Vikings Settlements L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site.  Enjoying incredible scenery and so much history!

September 11-We are scheduled to sail to Labrador today providing Coastal Ferries Regulations and Covid Restrictions permits us. In the event an alternative option will be arranged at equal value.

September 12- Travelling along Gulf of St. Lawrence and making interesting photo stops and visiting the “Arches”, Flowers Cove Thrombolite fossils; Nurse Bennett Heritage Home and visiting Torrent River Salmon Interpretation Centre is a definite must, before travelling to Cow’s Head Shallow Bay Hotel 709-458-2417 Makes this another perfect Newfoundland day!

September 13- Following another delicious breakfast another highlight awaits us- 2 hour Boone Bay Boat Cruise from Norris Point to Woody Point enjoying spectacular scenery of the Boone Bay as we sail through two connected Fjords. Visiting Trout River– a small seaside town steeped in Newfoundland Tradition is a must visit also learning about the geological wonder of the world Tablelands makes this an most perfect Newfoundland day. September 14- Our day will   begin  by  visiting  the legendary Newfie Bullet before travelling throughout the scenic Long Range Mountain Range and the legendary Wreck House on our way to Stephenville for lunch. Visiting Rose Blanche Lighthouse – is another highlight!. We will celebrate our Newfoundland Experience by enjoying a delicious farewell dinner Party at Port-Aux-Basque Hotel. After the party we will catch the 10:45 PM Ferry for our overnight crossing – I have cabins reserved for all guests  price included in package.

September 15- Upon arrival in North Sydney, Nova Scotia we will begin to return home with amazing, wonderful memories of a trip of a lifetime!
