Our colorful Fall Foliage Tour has been designed to capture magnificent Fall
Foliage and breath taking scenery – A perfect way to celebrate our Thanksgiving
Weekend!
October 9 – We will depart our homes with great anticipation for a perfect Thanksgiving
Fall Foliage Holiday and travel along the shores of Northumberland Strait to
Chetitcamp – a traditional Acadian fishing village. Upon arrival we will enjoy a delicious
group meal at the popular le Gabriel restaurant. You will have a unique overnight fun
experience as we overnight at the Ocean View Chalets 902-224-2313.
October 10 – Following our delicious breakfast we will begin our exciting day by
visiting Les Trois Pignon Museum. A true testimony to Acadian’s culture and Rug
Hooking history. A must visit, before we begin to climb the mighty Cabot Trail, making
numerous stops for photos and a authentic Cape Breton lunch before journeying onward
to our nights stay at Sydney’s Hearthstone Inn 902-539-8101. The home of the worlds
largest fiddle and impressive waterfront.
This evening we will be guest at Celtic Colour Festival – A unique celebration of
Celtic Music – A evening filled with local and international talented performers. The
festival highlights Scottish, Irish and Acadian musical influences, including piping, step
dancing and folk music.
October 11 – Following a delicious breakfast we will visit the Quilt Museum in Port
Hastings – always a delight- before returning home with great memories of a first class
Cape Breton Thanksgiving Holiday.
